BERLIN — Romania is poised to become the largest IC design hub in Europe, according to Harish Natesan, research analyst at Frost & Sullivan.

"Romania is becoming one of the cheapest IC design locations in Europe as demands for localized design increases in Europe," he said, speaking at Frost’s webcast on Romania’s electronics industry.

Geographic proximity to Europe, government-friendly policies toward electronics and the lowest labor costs in Europe make Romania attractive, he said. GDP growth is close to 5 percent and is forecast to be on an upward trend to 2013, according to Frost research.

Così i cugini romeni: poveri, industriosi e in crescita.
